Elsie has 2 teeth! Just for fun, we "visited" our friend Dr. Randy Knutzen at his dental office to show off Elsie's teeth.
Randy gave Elsie a toothbrush and showed her how to brush her teeth!

Grandpa found Elsie a special rock, shaped like the state of Minnesota, to place next to their "Lady Elsie" rose.

We helped Laura and Julianna Diddle plant flowers in their front yard. Elsie loved the geraniums! She liked touching and smelling the petals.

We walked to the SDSU Dairy Bar for ice cream with Sue and Grandma, and Grandpa met us there.

The "Helper"
Grandpa had a helper when he made his famous Rice Krispie treats. Elsie got a big handful of marshmallow!
On our way to Brookings, we stopped to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa Cutts along the way.

Elsie made her stage debut in Annie, Jr. (a shortened version of the musical) at Brookings High as the baby orphan left on the streets of New York.
Elsie, Grandma, and Mrs. King, the director. Grandma has organized the costumes for the high school theatre for over 15 years. This was her last show.

When Jennie was in fifth grade, she played Annie in the high school musical Annie on the same stage, wearing this red dress next to Elsie's costume.
We attended a fabulous Luther College Jazz Band concert. They just happened to be in Brookings during our visit.

Aunt Katie baby-sat Elsie so Jen and Pete could attend the event. They had so much fun, and all slept very well that night!
